Cobs Bakery Workshops
Bread baking workshop Our workshops in 2010 are all fully booked. Courses in 2011 will be held on Saturdays 29th January, 30th April, 30th July and 29th October. To book a place, please contact us. (See contact details at the bottom of this page.)

"Your Home Baking"
A day of baking and conversation for beginning and experienced home bakers. A selection of breads will be made (and taken home) in order to learn or brush up on a range of basic skills.

Places will be limited to 7 participants. The small numbers will enable discussion to cover topics raised by participants, as well as covering general introductory matters. The workshop will aim to take beginning bakers (for example, someone who has used a bread machine but wants to do some more) or more experienced home bakers (for example, a regular bread-baker but in a rut) into some new experiences and open up some new ideas.

This workshop has now been run a number of times and has been a great success on every occasion.

To quote a previous participant:
"That workshop was just what I needed to stop my home baking from getting stuck in a comfortable rut - I enjoyed it a great deal at the time but maybe didn't realise quite how many useful things you'd managed to teach us until later, as they cropped up in my own home baking efforts."

The workshop will run from 9.30am to around 2.30pm and will cost £70 + VAT per person (£82.25 in total). This will all take place at Cobs Bakery, 7 Robert Davies Court, off Nuffield Road, Cambridge(CobsBakery map). Young people aged 10 to 16 years are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult (which will count as 2 places). Booking, by e-mail or post, will be strictly first come, first served.
